Talent Web are partnering with a well-established infrastructure organisation to recruit a Procurement Officer / Assistant Accountant for a 12-month contract chance. This is a broad and varied role that sits within a collaborative finance team, combining procurement administration, procure-to-pay activities and hands-on accounting support.
This opportunity would suit someone with experience across procurement, accounts administration or assistant accounting who enjoys working across multiple functions and contributing to process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, maintain and administer purchase orders across multiple business units
- Act as the key point of contact for procurement-related queries
- Manage vendor onboarding, maintenance and verification processes
- Support invoice capture processes and resolve invoice exceptions
- Coordinate corporate card reconciliations and employee expense claims
- Assist with month-end journals including accruals, prepayments and intercompany recharges
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting finance workpapers
- Process intercompany invoices and ad hoc customer billings
- Provide support across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions as required
- Contribute to systems enhancements,
testing and process improvement initiatives
About You To be successful, you'll ideally bring:
- Previous experience in procurement, accounts administration or assistant accounting roles
- Exposure to purchase order management and vendor administration
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Experience working within ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- A proactive approach and willingness to support a broad range of finance activities
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships across the business
