National Civil Contractor | Full-Time Chance

CGC Recruitment is partnering with a long-standing client, a national civil contractor with a robust reputation for delivering complex infrastructure projects across roads, airports, pavements, utilities and bulk earthworks.
Following the award of a $180 million road infrastructure project located approximately 40 minutes West of Sydney CBD, the business is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join the team on a full-time basis.
This is an excellent chance for a driven Project Engineer ready to step into a Senior Project Engineer role, take ownership of a significant civil infrastructure project and lead delivery from site establishment through to practical completion.
The Project
The project scope includes:

- Road widening and associated civil works.
- Drainage installation and upgrades.
- Upgraded shared pathways.
- Road safety improvements and associated infrastructure works.

Site establishment has commenced, with construction scheduled through to the end of the year. Joining at this stage will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to make a genuine impact on project delivery while working closely with the wider construction team.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the technical and commercial delivery of the project, while supporting and mentoring junior engineers.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Planning and coordinating labour, plant, equipment and other project resources.
- Developing construction methodologies, staging plans and work programs.
- Managing subcontractors and coordinating site activities.
- Administering contracts and monitoring project costs and progress.
- Identifying and managing project risks,



ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained.
- Coordinating technical documentation, ITPs, RFIs and other project deliverables.
- Managing and mentoring Site Engineers and Graduate Engineers.
- Liaising with TfNSW representatives, consultants and other key stakeholders.
- Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, program and contractual requirements.

About You

To be considered for this opportunity, you will have:

- A degree in Civil Engineering.
- A minimum of 6 years' post-graduate civil construction experience.
- At least 3 years' experience delivering TfNSW projects.
- Previous experience working for a Tier 2 or Tier 3 civil contractor.
- Strong technical knowledge of road construction, drainage and associated civil infrastructure.
- Proven experience managing subcontractors, coordinating resources and supporting junior engineers.
- A proactive, driven and career-motivated attitude, with the ability to take ownership and deliver results.
