About the Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager and working closely with the General Manager Finance and CFO, the Senior Financial Accountant will lead a team of three or more direct reports. You will be responsible for the full financial control of multiple entities across Australia and New Zealand, along with Head Office corporate accounting responsibilities. This key role comes with a high level of autonomy and will see you build strong relationships with operational stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor and develop a team of accountants, including recruitment, feedback and career coaching
- Review and prepare monthly accounts for multiple entities, including P&L;, balance sheet reconciliations, GST and cash flow statements
- Analyse performance against budget and forecast and provide written variance commentary
- Partner with Managers on annual budgets, quarterly reviews and forecasts
- Prepare and review BAS, GST, FBT and corporate tax returns for Australia and New Zealand




- Review payroll journals and consolidated balance sheet reconciliations
- Play a significant role in annual corporate budgets and Board pack reporting
- Act as a key liaison with external auditors for property and statutory audits
- Identify and implement system and process improvements

About You

- CA/CPA qualified
- Prior people management experience, preferably with direct reports
- Ability to prioritise and organise not only your own work but that of a wider finance team
- Experience in a multi entity environment where multiple sets of accounts are prepared and reviewed on a monthly basis
- Budgeting and forecasting experience is a must
- Strong variance analysis skills and intermediate to advanced Excel
- Confident communicator able to explain results to a range of stakeholders
- D365 or BI360 experience is desirable
