About the role: This apprenticeship offers a unique chance to develop practical skills and gain hands on experience in:

Assist the horticultural team with general parks and gardens maintenance including mowing, weeding, pruning, mulching, brush-cutting, spraying, and basic repairs.

Help monitor parks and report any damage, hazards, or maintenance issues.

Complete daily paperwork such as timesheets and maintenance records.

Take part in training and learning as part of the apprenticeship program.

Use and look after tools, vehicles, and equipment safely while following Council policies and procedures

What we're looking for

A genuine interest in parks and gardens or outdoor work

Ability to commit to a full-time 3-year apprenticeship, including practical studies

Willingness to learn, follow instructions, work in a team, and demonstrate reliability.

Good physical fitness, with strong attention to safety and detail.
