Blackrock Tourist Park – South Hedland, WA

Blackrock Tourist Park is looking for an experienced Cook or Chef to join our team in South Hedland, WA.

This is a full-time position working 5 or 6 days per week, depending on what is agreed.

We are a growing business and are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, and passionate about preparing quality food.

Accommodation can be provided for the right candidate.

This is not a FIFO position, however we will pay for a return flight to any Australian capital city every 6 months.

What We Offer The Pay

- Competitive salary plus superannuation.

- Starting hourly rate based on your experience and skills.

- After 3 months, if you demonstrate the required skills and knowledge, your salary may increase by 10%.

Accommodation

- Accommodation available for the right candidate.

Bonuses

- $2,000 Bonus after 6 months

- $3,000 Bonus after 12 months

That's up to $6,000 in bonuses during your first year.

About the Role

- Prepare and cook meals to a high standard.

- Maintain consistent food quality, portioning and presentation.

- Follow food safety, hygiene and cleaning requirements.

- Assist with stock control, ordering and stock rotation.

- Maintain a clean,



secure and organised kitchen.

- Minimise food waste and assist with efficient kitchen operations.

- Work effectively as part of a busy team.

- Assist with food preparation and service as required.

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience as a Cook or Chef.

- Good understanding of kitchen operations and food safety.

- Ability to prepare consistent, high-quality meals.

- Reliable and able to work under pressure.

- Good communication and teamwork skills.

- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

- Willingness to live and work locally in South Hedland.

Qualifications

- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery preferred.

- Relevant experience may be considered instead of formal qualifications.

- Food Safety Certificate preferred.

Additional Information The successful applicant will be required to complete a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test.

Sponsorship opportunities may be available for the right candidate.

This is a residential position based in South Hedland and is not FIFO.
