Role Description

This full-time, on-site A-Grade Electrician role is based in Sydney, NSW and covers residential, commercial, and Level 2 electrical work.

Day-to-day responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and wiring in homes, commercial buildings, and utility-connected sites.

The role involves performing fault-finding and troubleshooting, completing switchboard upgrades, meter installations, and service mains work in line with Level 2 requirements and regulatory standards. The electrician will interpret technical drawings and plans, ensure all work complies with relevant codes and safety regulations, and complete required documentation and reporting.



The position also requires collaboration with site supervisors, other trades, and clients, while maintaining a strong focus on safe work practices and timely completion of jobs.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in electricity principles and practical electrical work in residential and commercial environments.
- Demonstrated experience in maintenance & repair of electrical systems, including routine servicing and corrective work.
- Proficient troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving electrical faults efficiently and safely.
- Background in electrical engineering concepts sufficient to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Valid A-Grade Electrician license and Level 2 accreditation (or eligibility/willingness to obtain), with current industry-recognised certifications.
- Comprehensive understanding of relevant Australian Standards, NSW service rules, and WHS regulations.
- Ability to use electrical testing equipment and tools safely and accurately, with strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Effective communication skills, ability to work in a team and independently, and a customer-focused approach on-site.
- Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel to multiple sites across Sydney as required.
- Prior experience in similar roles within residential, commercial, and/or Level 2 electrical work is highly desirable.
