About The Role

Pertemps Milton Keynes is recruiting a Transport Clerk for a client's transport department in Milton Keynes. This full-time, ongoing position offers £13 per hour, working Monday to Friday, 10:00am to 7:00pm, with career progression available. Duties include pre-briefing and de-briefing drivers at shift start and end, supporting the transport team with administrative tasks, processing and maintaining delivery and POD documentation, monitoring vehicle movements and delivery schedules, and liaising with drivers. Candidates should have transport, logistics or administration experience, strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities

- Pre-brief and de-brief drivers at the start and end of their shifts
- Support the transport team with daily administrative duties
- Process and maintain transport, delivery and POD documentation
- Monitor vehicle movements and delivery schedules
- Liaise with drivers, warehouse teams and customers where required




- Update internal transport management systems accurately
- Investigate and escape delivery issues, delays or driver queries
- Ensure all compliance records are maintained correctly
- Produce reports and complete general transport administration
- Carry out other transport office duties as required to support the operation

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience within a transport, logistics or distribution environment is desirable
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident communication skills with the ability to build relationships with drivers and colleagues
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy transport office
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
