About the role

Dr Edi's Barbershop is seeking an experienced barber to join our Burnie team. We operate a welcoming, walk-in barbershop offering qualified haircuts, styling and beard services.

Key responsibilities

- Consulting with customers to understand their haircut, styling and grooming preferences
- Cutting and styling hair using scissors, clippers and razors
- Performing fades, tapered cuts, and traditional and contemporary barbering styles
- Trimming and shaping beards and moustaches and providing shaving services
- Advising customers on hair care, grooming and suitable products
- Cleaning and disinfecting tools, equipment and workstations
- Maintaining workplace hygiene and safety standards
- Processing payments and providing friendly, professional customer service

About you

- A Certificate III in Barbering or Hairdressing, an equivalent qualification, or substantial relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience working as a barber
- Strong skills in scissor cutting, clipper cutting, fades and beard grooming




- Clear communication and customer service skills
- The ability to work independently and contribute to a team
- Reliable work habits and professional presentation
- Availability to work a roster that includes weekends

Benefits

- An annual salary of $80,000–$85,000, based on skills and experience, plus superannuation
