Binary is a bustling sleek and stylish café, nestled on the ground floor of the iconic 101 Collins tower in the CBD. Operated by Code Black Coffee, this venue pumps out specialty coffee and delivers a diverse and interesting cabinet and a-la-carte menu.
If you think you're a superstar barista and a real gun behind the machine, then we want you! We’re looking for someone who is serious about making fantastic coffee, dedicated to providing outstanding customer service and who wants to enjoy coming to work in a fun but skilled environment.
We believe that a great barista not only makes amazing coffee, but they also demonstrate a range of other skills such as great customer service, good communication skills, a high level of common sense and the ability to work well under pressure.
To be considered for a barista position you will have the following:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a full-time Barista
- Be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of coffee making techniques
- Have an incredible passion for coffee
- Have a high level of professionalism
- Be confident and have solid experience in high volume specialty coffee
- Able to maintain extremely high standards under pressure
- Be well presented and friendly
- Be able to work well in a team and communicate politely and effectively
- Be able to speak English confidently and fluently
At Binary we work hard, we are proud of what we do and have fun whilst doing it. Hours: 3-4 days a week - weekdays only (approx 25-32 hours per week)
Requirements: this is a VERY BUSY CAFE - you will need at least 2 years' experience in a high volume role
