Century Engineering is looking for experienced, trade-qualified Boilermakers/Fabricators to join our team at Edinburgh North.

At Century Engineering we own the challenge of providing critical equipment for Australia's future.

We work across defence, mining, power and water, producing a wide range of structural steel, tanks, piping and complex fabricated components. This is a role for skilled tradespeople who can work from drawings and welding procedures, understand quality requirements and take pride in producing work to a high standard.

What we're looking for

You'll need

- Ability to read and understand WPS (welding procedure specification).

- Ability to interpret construction drawings and a firm understanding of Australian standards welding symbols.

- Ability to understand allowable defect limits within relevant welding codes and self-inspect/measure your own welding to identify defects pre-inspection. All work is subject to a minimum of 100% visual inspection.

- Ability to fabricate structural steel, tanks and piping to tight tolerances.

- Proficiency with GMAW, FCAW and TIG processes.

- Ability to understand quality documentation including ITPs and work packs and ensure sign-offs are completed at each stage.

- Willingness to undertake regular WQT (welder qualification testing) based on current work requirements.

- Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines and delivery schedules.

- A strong commitment to safety,



teamwork and continuous improvement.

- Willingness to learn, develop your skills and adapt to changing work requirements.

Highly Regarded

Experience with coded welding to AS 1554.1 SP, 1554.5, 1554.6, 3992 and 4041, positional welding and confined space work will be highly regarded.

Defence Requirements

Some of our work supports Defence projects and may require an Australian Government security clearance. Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain the required clearance may be required for certain roles or project assignments.
