Daimo Metals is an innovative, growth-stage company expanding its footprint in the grinding media and comminution sector. We are building a high-performing commercial team and are looking for a highly connected technical expert in Western Australia to step into a pivotal business development role.

The Opportunity

We are not necessarily looking for a career salesperson. If you are a seasoned mining professional, metallurgist, or engineer who is highly competitive, well-connected, and ready to transition into a commercial growth role, we want to hear from you. We will train you on the sales lifecycle, CRM management, and commercial negotiation.

Your mandate is to leverage your deep understanding of mine site operations and your established WA network to create opportunities, drive pipeline growth, and shape practical supply solutions for our customers.

Who You Are

• The WA Mining Insider: You have direct, established contact with at least 25 mine sites across Western Australia, possessing deep connections within metallurgy, operations, and procurement teams.

• Technically Credible: You hold an Engineering degree (ideally in mining, metallurgy, or mineral processing) and have a comprehensive understanding of the overall mining process and comminution.

• Commercial Experience: Previous sales and account management experience is preferred, but not essential.

• Exceptionally Driven: You have an inherently high appetite for competition, thriving in environments where you can outperform expectations and turn everyday challenges into tangible success.

What You Will Do

• Drive Market Penetration: Actively identify and pursue new applications, trials, and projects across WA by utilizing your existing network rather than relying on inbound enquiries.

• Shape Custom Solutions: Work closely with our internal technical specialists to translate customer operating conditions and consumption patterns into tailored, value-based grinding media solutions.

• Maintain Site Presence: Routinely travel to major WA mining centers—including Kalgoorlie, the Pilbara, and Leonora—to maintain direct contact with site operations and build trusted, long-term partnerships.

• Master the Commercial Engine: Learn and execute the commercial side of the business with our full support, eventually taking ownership of high-quality tender submissions, pricing strategies, and cross-functional execution with our logistics and production teams.
