About the Role
As a Career Specialist, you’ll support participants to prepare for, secure and maintain employment.
Key responsibilities include
- Managing a caseload of participants and providing tailored employment support
- Developing employment and career plans aligned to participant goals
- Assisting with resumes, job applications, interview preparation and job readiness
- Building relationships with employers and identifying employment opportunities
- Undertaking community engagement and employer outreach to develop a pipeline of vacancies
- Matching participants to suitable roles and supporting placement outcomes
- Providing ongoing support to participants and employers to achieve long-term employment success
- Maintaining accurate case notes, participant records and outcome reporting
About You
You are a strong relationship builder who enjoys helping people achieve their goals and thrives in a role that combines coaching, recruitment, employer engagement and community networking.
You may bring experience from:
- Recruitment Consultant
- Employment Consultant
- Workforce Australia Consultant
- Job Network Consultant
- Business Development or Account Management
Transferable skills such as candidate sourcing, client relationship management, employer engagement, job matching, sales, business development and case management will be highly regarded.
Requirements
- Current driver’s licence
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- National Police Check
- Completion of psychometric testing as part of the recruitment process
Salary
Salary will be paid in accordance with the Labour Market Assistance Industry Award 2020, with classification at Grade 2, and the applicable pay point determined by qualifications, skills and relevant experience.
