About the role

We're looking for an experienced, motivated and hands-on Café Manager to join our busy team at The General Store Melville. We're passionate about great food, quality coffee and exceptional customer service, and we're looking for someone who shares that passion and can lead our café team.

Key responsibilities

- Manage daily café operations and lead by example

- Lead our café team with strong leadership and staff management

- Prepare and serve excellent coffee with experienced barista skills

- Ensure sound food handling, preparation and food safety practices

- Deliver excellent communication and customer service

About you

- Minimum 3 years' experience in a busy café environment

- Strong leadership, staff management and organisational skills

- Experienced barista with excellent coffee-making skills

- Sound food handling, preparation and food safety knowledge

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workplace

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Positive, motivated attitude with a genuine passion for food and coffee

- Availability for a minimum of 38 hours per week, including weekend work
