Sales Consultant – Burleigh Heads & Tweed Heads South Carpet Court

Burleigh Heads and Tweed Heads South Carpet Court are looking for a driven, personable, and results-focused Sales Consultant to join our team. This role suits someone who loves helping people, enjoys the satisfaction of closing a sale, and wants to build a rewarding career with a trusted, well-established flooring brand.

About the Role

You’ll work across our showrooms, guiding customers from their first visit through to a finished floor they love. You’ll help customers choose the right carpet, flooring, or window furnishings, prepare accurate quotes, and turn enquiries into sales. If you enjoy building relationships, solving problems, and seeing a project through from start to finish, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Service

- Greet and assist customers in the showroom, understanding their needs, style, and budget

- Provide expert advice on carpet, hard flooring, and window furnishings

- Conduct in-home consultations and measures

- Prepare and present accurate quotes, and follow up to convert them into sales

- Follow up on leads, enquiries, and past customers to generate repeat and referral business

- Achieve individual and store sales targets

- Build strong relationships with residential customers, builders, and trade clients

Project & Store Support
- Coordinate measure and install bookings with customers and installers

- Process sales orders and ensure job details are accurate and complete





- Liaise with suppliers on stock availability and delivery timeframes

- Keep customers informed throughout their project and resolve any issues promptly

- Maintain showroom presentation, including displays and sample boards

- Work collaboratively with the team across both stores

What We’re Looking For

- Proven experience in sales, ideally in retail, showroom, home improvement, or a related industry (flooring experience is highly regarded but not essential)

- A confident, natural ability to build rapport and close sales

- Motivation to meet and exceed targets

- Strong communication and negotiation skills

- Good attention to detail, especially with measuring and quoting

- Solid computer skills and the ability to learn recent systems

- Excellent organisation and follow-up skills
- A positive, professional attitude and a strong team player
