Casual Front-of-House Staff – Mai Gai Restaurant, Brisbane

Mai Gai Restaurant is looking for friendly, reliable and enthusiastic front-of-house staff to join our team on a casual basis. You’ll help create a welcoming atmosphere and deliver excellent service to our guests.

Your responsibilities

- Welcome guests, manage bookings and seat customers.
- Take food and drink orders accurately using our POS system.
- Serve meals and beverages promptly and professionally.
- Explain menu items and communicate dietary requirements and allergies clearly to the kitchen.
- Prepare and serve drinks within your training and experience.
- Process payments and handle cash accurately.
- Set up, clear and clean tables, and maintain tidy service areas.
- Complete opening and closing duties.
- Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to keep service running smoothly.
- Respond politely to customer enquiries and refer concerns to the supervisor.

- Reliability, punctuality and attention to detail.
- Confidence working in a busy restaurant.
- Availability for evening, weekend and public holiday shifts.
- Previous hospitality experience preferred.
- Valid Australian work rights.
