About the Opportunity An established, community-focused early learning centre in Melbourne's eastern suburbs is seeking an experienced, motivated and passionate Centre Director to join our leadership team.

We are looking for a confident, proactive and hands-on leader who is passionate about early childhood education, team development and delivering exceptional outcomes for children and families.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor and support a team of early childhood educators.
- Oversee daily centre operations, staffing, rosters and regulatory compliance.
- Build a positive, respectful, professional and accountable team culture.
- Manage recruitment, induction, staff performance and career development.
- Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standard (NQS), National Law and Regulations, and Child Safe Standards.
- Maintain high standards of child safety, supervision, documentation and risk management.
- Work collaboratively with the Educational Leader to deliver high-quality educational programs.
- Build strong relationships with children, families and the local community.
- Manage enrolment enquiries, centre tours, orientation and family engagement.
- Develop strategies to improve occupancy, enrolments and family retention.
- Lead the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with the Approved Provider to achieve operational, educational and business objectives.

About You The successful candidate will have:
- A Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification.




- Demonstrated leadership experience in an early childhood education and care setting.
- Previous experience as a Centre Director or Assistant Director will be highly regarded.
- Strong knowledge of the NQF, NQS and Victorian regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
- Proven ability to manage staff performance, resolve workplace challenges and develop a supportive team.
- Experience in enrolment management, occupancy improvement and family engagement.
- A current Victorian Working with Children Check.
- Relevant First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications, or willingness to obtain them.
- A genuine commitment to child safety, quality education and continuous improvement.
