About the Role

We are seeking a skilled, reliable and passionate Qualified Chef to join our café kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a busy café or restaurant workplace, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency and presentation.

This role is suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in their work and contributes positively to a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook high-quality breakfast and lunch dishes to our menu standards.
- Manage kitchen operations independently during service when required.
- Maintain consistency in food quality, portion control and presentation.
- Work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods.
- Complete food preparation, mise en place and service duties.
- Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene and workplace cleanliness standards.
- Monitor stock levels, minimise food wastage and assist with stock rotation.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff.
- Follow recipes, procedures and kitchen standards while contributing to a positive team culture.

About You




- Relevant chef qualifications and/or demonstrated professional cooking experience.
- Previous experience in a café or restaurant kitchen.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to remain calm, organised and productive under pressure.
- Reliable, punctual and professional, with a positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and a genuine passion for quality food.
- Current Australian working rights for the advertised part-time position.
