About the Role

We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Claims Specialist to be an integral part of our growing team. This permanent, full-time position offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in enhancing our Claims operations, applying technical claims expertise and ensuring the best outcomes for our valued clients.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Managing complex farming insurance claims, across multiple lines of business, ensuring efficient handling from lodgments through to resolution.
- Reviewing insurance policies, assessment and specialist reports to determine coverage.
- Establishing indemnity with insured parties, liability with third parties to settle claims within the Achmea Claims Guidelines
- Collaborating with external stakeholders such as legal representatives, experts, and service providers to conduct thorough claim evaluations and ensure comprehensive resolutions.
- Evaluating claim complexities, utilising advanced technical knowledge to resolve issues and determine suitable settlements, while maintaining compliance with policies and legal standards.
- Managing complains and disputes in a skilled manner.
- Achieve monthly productivity levels as designated by the business.

What We’re Looking For

- Technically strong,



experienced claims specialist with deep insurance knowledge and a client centric mindset
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in General Insurance claims, specifically across motor claims, commercial property and Liability claims (preferred)
- Thorough knowledge of general insurance at a Tier-2 level.
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Diploma in General Insurance (preferred) or ASIC RG146 (desirable and provided on the job).
- Agricultural experience or knowledge of the rural industry, reflecting our core commitment to Australia's farming community.
