Function PCP Strathfield | Physiotherapy, Pilates, Gym & Recovery Studio
Permanent Part-Time | Strathfield, Sydney
Approx. 2–2.5 days per week to start, with room to grow
Ideal for a warm, organised, sales-confident all-rounder looking for a long-term role
About Us
Function PCP Strathfield is a premium physiotherapy, Pilates, strength, fitness and recovery studio.
We help people move better, recover from pain, build strength, improve confidence and create healthier long-term habits. Our space combines physiotherapy, Reformer Pilates, small-group gym classes, Trampoline HIIT, aerial yoga, sauna, ice bath and recovery services.
We are growing and looking for a long-term team member who can help us improve the full client journey — from the first enquiry, to the first visit, to becoming an ongoing member or physio client.
We are looking for someone who is warm with people, organised with follow-up, and confident helping prospective clients take the next step.
About the Role
We are looking for a Client Journey & Sales Coordinator to join our front-of-house team.
You will still help with reception, bookings and client service, but your main focus will be on the sales and client journey side of the business.
This means helping current enquiries get booked in, supporting trial clients through their first two weeks, following up leads, and having friendly membership or booking conversations with people who are interested in getting started.
The right person will be proactive, confident speaking to people, and comfortable with sales in a warm, non-pushy way.
Over time, this role may also grow into local business networking, community partnerships, marketing support and social media coordination.
Key Responsibilities:Client Experience & Front of House
You will help create a warm, professional and premium experience for every person who walks through the door.
This includes
- Greeting clients warmly when they arrive.
- Making first-time visitors feel comfortable and guided.
- Answering phone calls, emails and enquiries.
- Booking physiotherapy appointments, classes and studio tours.
- Processing payments and assisting with client accounts.
- Keeping the front desk and waiting area clean, calm and organised.
- Communicating clearly with physiotherapists, instructors and other team members.
- Saying goodbye and helping clients know what to do next before they leave.
Lead Follow-Up & Sales Conversations A major part of this role is making sure enquiries do not fall through the cracks.
You will help with
- Following up new leads and missed calls.
- Booking prospects into studio tours,
trial offers or physio consultations.
- Explaining our services clearly and confidently.
- Helping people understand which option is most suitable for them.
- Having friendly conversations about memberships, trial offers and next steps.
- Recording notes so the team knows where each prospect is up to.
- Following up people who have shown interest but have not booked yet.
You do not need to be a pushy salesperson. But you do need to be comfortable asking people to book, following up, and helping them make a decision.
Trial Client Journey
We run introductory offers for new clients, and the experience during the first two weeks is extremely important.
You will help with
- Welcoming new trial clients.
- Helping them book their first classes.
- Checking in to see how they are finding the experience.
- Encouraging them to stay consistent.
- Helping them book future classes.
- Having membership rollover conversations when appropriate.
- Making sure every trial client receives a clear next-step conversation before their trial ends.
The goal is to help people feel supported, comfortable and confident enough to continue their health and fitness journey. Growth, Marketing & Community Opportunities For the right long-term person, this role can grow beyond front of house.
Future responsibilities may include
- Supporting social media content.
- Taking straightforward photos or videos around the studio.
- Helping promote challenges, events and offers.
- Building relationships with nearby businesses.
- Assisting with local area marketing.
- Helping organise community partnerships.
- Supporting member events or open days.
You do not need to be an expert in marketing from day one. But you should be open to learning and interested in helping the business grow.
About You
You may be a great fit if you are:
- Warm, friendly and confident speaking to people.
- Naturally good at building relationships.
- Organised and reliable with follow-up.
- Comfortable making phone calls and following up leads.
- Confident having sales conversations in a helpful, non-pushy way.
- Proactive and able to take ownership.
- Detail-focused and able to keep transparent notes.
- Calm and professional in a busy environment.
- Interested in health, fitness,
wellness or small business.
- Looking for a stable, long-term part-time role.
- Open to growing into more responsibility over time.
Experience in reception, customer service, sales, membership sales, health clinics, fitness studios, hospitality, retail management, local business marketing or administration would be highly regarded. This Role Is Best Suited To Someone Who
- Wants to become a key part of a growing local business.
- Enjoys both people and organisation.
- Likes helping clients take action.
- Can balance warmth with follow-through.
- Is comfortable being measured on client follow-up, bookings and conversion.
- Wants more than a basic reception job.
This Role Is Probably Not Right If You
- Only want short-term or temporary work.
- Prefer a passive admin role with minimal client interaction.
- Feel uncomfortable making phone calls or following up leads.
- Do not enjoy sales or membership conversations.
- Need a role where responsibilities stay very limited.
- Struggle with organisation, notes or follow-through.
We are looking for someone who wants to grow with the business and take ownership of the client journey.
Hours
This is a permanent part-time role, approximately 2–2.5 days per week to start.
There may be an opportunity for additional hours and responsibilities as the role grows.
Preferred availability includes
- Consistent weekday availability.
- Some afternoon/evening availability.
- Flexibility to occasionally cover extra shifts when needed.
- Occasional Saturday availability would be helpful but is not essential.
Exact days and hours can be discussed with the right candidate. What We Offer
- A stable part-time role in a growing health and fitness business.
- Training in our services, systems and client communication.
- A supportive team environment.
- Exposure to physiotherapy, Pilates, strength training and recovery services.
- The opportunity to grow into client journey, sales, marketing, community outreach and clinic operations responsibilities.
- A meaningful role where your work directly impacts client experience and business growth.
