Join a major tertiary teaching hospital providing complex specialist care across an immense geographical area. You will work with a supportive multidisciplinary team, manage a varied and challenging caseload and make a meaningful contribution to healthcare delivery for regional, remote communities.

A lifestyle beyond the ordinary

This is Australia on a grand scale ancient landscapes, tropical coastline, extraordinary wildlife and adventure in every direction.

Spend your time away from work exploring iconic national parks, swimming beneath waterfalls, fishing in remote waterways, camping beneath open skies or setting off on a four-wheel-drive journey through the outback.

The tropical city offers a relaxed and welcoming lifestyle, excellent schooling and childcare options, short commutes and considerably more time to enjoy life outside work. The hospital’s coastal cycling route makes even the daily commute memorable.

Southeast Asia is also on your doorstep. Bali is approximately three hours away by air, while Singapore can be reached in around four hours making an international weekend away entirely possible.

For anaesthetists seeking complex clinical work, professional purpose and a genuine sense of adventure, few Australian locations offer a more distinctive opportunity.
