About the Role

As Kinexus continues to grow, we're looking to add an additional Contract Recruiter to our established Defence recruitment team in Melbourne.

This is an excellent opportunity for a contract focused recruiter who is looking to continue their career and pivot into defence recruitment and learn from one of the most experienced contract defence recruiters in Australia. You'll join a high performing, collaborative team where you'll be supported to develop your expertise across contractor management, client engagement, business development and workforce solutions.

Working alongside an established contracting function, you'll have the opportunity to build strong relationships with clients and contractors, contribute to existing accounts and progressively grow your own portfolio. You'll be surrounded by the knowledge, systems and support needed to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and grow a contract recruitment desk within the Defence and Government sector
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, contractors and candidates
- Deliver consistent contractor placements and ongoing workforce solutions across key accounts
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and prospective client organisations
- Build and maintain talent pools of security cleared and specialist professionals
- Negotiate contract opportunities and manage contractor engagement throughout the employment lifecycle
- Develop a strong market presence and become a trusted advisor to clients and candidates
- Work collaboratively with leadership to identify growth opportunities for the desk and wider business
- Mentor and support a team of recruiters where appropriate
- Contribute to the continued success and reputation of Kinexus within the Australian Defence market





About You

You are an experienced recruiter who has successfully operated a contract or temporary recruitment desk and understands what it takes to deliver consistent, recurring revenue.

We're looking for someone who can step into an established business, maintain momentum and build on an already successful foundation.

You will bring

- Demonstrated success managing a profitable contract or temporary recruitment desk
- Strong contractor care, account management and business development capability
- Experience maintaining recurring revenue streams and growing existing client relationships
- Commercial acumen and an understanding of the metrics that drive a successful contracting business
- Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, resilient and results focused approach
- Defence, Government, Infrastructure, ICT, Engineering or technical recruitment experience
