The Opportunity

What if you could have the freedom to run your own territory, the backing of an established business, and a genuinely great team that trusts you to get on with the job?

Well, here's your opportunity!

We're partnering with a well-established and respected supplier of specialist polyethylene and piping products, supporting customers across Australia's water, gas, mining, agricultural and infrastructure sectors.

With a strong national presence and continued growth, the business has recently expanded its Victorian operations, and things are going from strength to strength!

Due to this growth, a brand-new Regional BDM position has been created.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a substantial territory, build on an established customer base and drive new business across Victoria, South Australia, the ACT and Tasmania.

But here's what really makes this opportunity special...

The culture!

This is a business where people genuinely enjoy coming to work. The leadership team is approachable, down-to-earth and incredibly supportive.

There's no appetite for micromanagement or someone breathing down your neck.

Instead, you'll be trusted to manage your territory, build relationships and get results in a way that works for you.

There's genuine flexibility, an understanding that life and family commitments matter, and a team that works together rather than in silos.

And they certainly know how to look after their people! Think Friday lunches, birthday leave, company dinners, Christmas celebrations and those little extras that make employees feel appreciated.

You'll be joining a company that's growing, a team that has your back, and a role where you can genuinely make your mark.

The Role

This is a hands‑on, commercially focused position offering a great balance of new business development and existing account management.

You’ll have the freedom to plan your own territory, spend time in front of customers and identify opportunities to grow the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Develop and convert new business opportunities across your territory
- Grow, retain and expand existing strategic customer accounts
- Build strong relationships with key decision‑makers through regular meetings and site visits
- Manage opportunities from prospecting and negotiation through to close and after‑sales
- Identify opportunities to increase product penetration and introduce additional product ranges
- Leverage an established customer network and identified prospects while sourcing new opportunities
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline and accurate forecasts
- Work closely with technical, customer service, logistics and operational teams
- Manage your regional portfolio against commercial targets
- Travel throughout your territory, including interstate, to develop and maintain customer relationships

You’ll spend much of your time out in the market, meeting customers and building relationships, with considerable freedom to organise your schedule around business opportunities.

This isn't a role where you'll be chained to a desk. It's about being out there, building relationships and making things happen!

About You

You’ll ideally bring 10+ years of experience across technical sales, business development or account management, with strong knowledge of polyethylene components and associated products.

Your background may be in industrial equipment, parts, polyethylene, piping, plumbing supplies, water infrastructure, industrial products, mining, utilities or another closely related technical market.

While direct industry knowledge would be fantastic, we’re also interested in hearing from accomplished technical sales professionals from adjacent industries who have the commercial ability and aptitude to learn.

You’ll bring:

- Strong business development, sales and account management experience

- A proven track record of winning new business and growing existing accounts
- Solid customer and industry relationships
- Technical product or solution sales experience
- Confidence in commercial conversations and negotiations
- Experience managing pipelines, forecasts and sales targets
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
- A proactive, self‑motivated and autonomous approach
- A collaborative attitude and willingness to support your teammates
- Current driver’s licence and Australian working rights

Just as importantly, personality matters!

We’re looking for someone who is driven and commercially switched on, but also easygoing, approachable and a genuine team player.

You’ll enjoy having the freedom to make your own decisions, take responsibility for your results and work with people who trust you to do your job.

If you’re the kind of person who thrives without micromanagement, enjoys building relationships and wants to be part of a supportive, down‑to‑earth business, you’ll fit right in!

What’s In It For You?

There’s a lot to love about this opportunity!

- Genuine flexibility and autonomy: Enjoy the freedom to plan your week, manage your territory and work independently
- A culture that values people: Join a team where colleagues support each other and leadership genuinely cares
- A fantastic manager: Work with an approachable, easygoing leader who believes in teamwork, trust and independence
- Family‑friendly working environment: Enjoy a company that understands the importance of life outside work
- A growing business: Step into a newly created role with the opportunity to make a real impact and grow with the company
- Career progression: Develop your career as the business and territory continue to expand
- Competitive remuneration: Attractive base salary, car allowance and annual performance‑based bonus
- Birthday leave: Enjoy an extra day off to celebrate your birthday!
- Friday lunches: Enjoy a team lunch on the company every Friday
- Company celebrations: Team dinners, Christmas celebrations and social events
- Little extras: A well‑stocked kitchen and thoughtful perks that make the workplace that bit more enjoyable
- Training and mentoring: Learn from experienced colleagues and strengthen your technical product knowledge
- Strong support: Benefit from established operations, existing customer relationships and an experienced national team
- Additional benefits: Employee wellbeing support, including EAP, and free onsite parking

Ready for What’s Next?

You've already built the experience. Now imagine putting it to work somewhere you're trusted, appreciated and given the freedom to succeed.

That’s what this role is all about – the blend of autonomy, support and growth opportunities you crave.

We look forward to hearing from you.
