About the role

Chop & Chew Belmont Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated Cook to join the kitchen team on a continuing, full-time basis to support ongoing business operations. Reporting directly to the Head Chef/Director, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes while maintaining strict adherence to food safety and hygiene protocols.

Key responsibilities

- Examining food to ensure exceptional quality and freshness prior to preparation.

- Preparing, seasoning, and cooking dishes in accordance with menu standards, ensuring excellent consistency and presentation.

- Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, and other commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

- Portioning food, plating dishes, and adding appropriate sauces and garnishes.

- Preparing food to meet specific dietary requirements or allergy requests.

- Storing food safely in temperature-controlled facilities, managing stock rotation, assisting with ordering, and actively minimizing food wastage.





- Maintaining high levels of kitchen hygiene and strictly following food safety and HACCP procedures.

- Working efficiently during busy service periods to guarantee timely food delivery while collaborating closely with front-of-house staff.

About you

- Certificate IV in Kitchen Management and a Diploma of Hospitality Management (or equivalent).

- A minimum of 1 year of full-time (or equivalent) experience working as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.

- Proven understanding of food safety, HACCP compliance, and commercial kitchen operations.

- Solid teamwork and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to perform efficiently under pressure.
