Role Description

This contract Yacht Broker role is based in Mosman, NSW and operates in a hybrid capacity, combining on-site client and vessel visits with some work-from-home flexibility. The Yacht Broker will manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, qualifying leads, conducting viewings and sea trials, preparing listings, and negotiating purchase and sale agreements. Daily activities include advising clients on suitable vessels, coordinating inspections and surveys, liaising with legal and financial professionals, and ensuring smooth settlement and handover.



The role also involves maintaining up-to-date market knowledge, building relationships within the marine industry, and delivering high-quality customer service to both buyers and sellers.

Qualifications

- Robust knowledge of boats, yachting practices, and relevant marine industry standards.
- Experience in yacht or boat brokerage, including sales negotiations and transaction management.
- Proven customer service skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Understanding of marine regulations, vessel documentation, and survey/inspection processes.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple listings, and meet sales targets.
- Previous experience in marine sales or luxury goods sales is highly desirable.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to marinas and client locations as required.
