About the role

You'll join an established, modern dental practice in Epping, working alongside experienced clinicians across a broad range of dentistry. You'll play an important role in ensuring our clinical days run smoothly, our dentists are properly supported and every patient receives the care and attention they deserve. We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities, notices the small things and doesn't wait to be asked when something needs attention.

Key responsibilities

- Chairside assistance: Supporting clinicians across general, restorative, crown and bridge, root canal, dentures, hygiene and implant procedures.
- Clinical preparation: Ensuring surgeries, instruments, equipment and materials are organised and ready before patients arrive.
- Infection control: Maintaining excellent sterilisation, instrument reprocessing and infection prevention standards.
- Clinical documentation: Assisting with charting, laboratory requests, consent documentation and medical history updates.
- Forward planning: Reviewing upcoming appointments and anticipating what clinicians will need.
- Patient experience: Helping patients feel welcomed, comfortable and cared for throughout their visits.
- Teamwork: Supporting fellow Dental Assistants and communicating effectively with clinicians, front desk and management.

About you

- Certificate III in Dental Assisting or 1–2 years of dental assisting experience.
- Experience working in a busy dental practice.
- Robust infection control knowledge.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Confidence using digital or web-based practice management systems.
- An interest in developing your clinical skills.
- Takes pride in being reliable and prepared.
- Thinks ahead and shows initiative.
- Enjoys helping people.
- Works well in a busy clinical environment.
