At Monash IVF Group we're trying to change the way society thinks and acts in relation to their fertility. We're removing stigmas, empowering people to make better decisions and to take action earlier. Ultimately, we are trying to improve everyone's chance of having a family.
The reality is, we know starting a family isn't always easy. It can take real bravery by our patients, and a lot of empathy and support from our Monash IVF Team. That's why it's so important that the people we select to join our team are genuinely compassionate and caring, and truly want to make a difference. If this sounds like you, read on.
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife to join our Monash IVF Nursing Team, working across our Parramatta and Penrith clinics on a full-time 12-month parental leave contract.
Whether you bring existing fertility nursing experience or are an experienced nurse or midwife looking to take the next step in your career, this is an opportunity to develop your expertise in reproductive care while making a meaningful difference to patients on their fertility journey.
As an IVF Nurse, you will play an integral role in supporting patients throughout their treatment, providing education, coordinating care and ensuring they feel informed, supported and empowered at every stage. You will work closely with Fertility Specialists and a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, personalised care.
You’ll join a collaborative and supportive nursing team that values compassion, communication and continuous improvement, with the opportunity to learn from experienced fertility professionals and contribute to exceptional patient experiences and outcomes.
About the Role

You will be a trusted point of contact for patients, helping them navigate the complexities of fertility treatment while ensuring their care is delivered safely, efficiently and with compassion. No two patient journeys are the same, so your ability to adapt, communicate effectively and respond to individual needs will be essential.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating patient treatment cycles and providing nursing support throughout the IVF journey.
- Educating patients about treatment protocols, medications, procedures and next steps in their care.
- Providing compassionate support to patients navigating the emotional and practical challenges of fertility treatment.
- Working collaboratively with Fertility Specialists, nurses, embryologists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Undertaking clinical nursing duties in accordance with established protocols, clinical guidelines and quality standards.
- Supporting patients with timely communication, accurate documentation and clear treatment information.
- Contributing to a positive patient experience through empathy, professionalism and attention to detail.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and contribute to a safe, productive and patient-centred clinic environment.
This is an opportunity to build on your existing clinical skills, develop your fertility nursing knowledge and be part of a team that makes a genuine difference in the lives of patients.
About You
You understand that fertility treatment can be an emotional and complex journey, and you're passionate about providing the care, education and reassurance patients need along the way.
You're a compassionate and organised nursing professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality care. You communicate confidently, work well within a multidisciplinary team and can balance competing priorities in a busy clinical environment.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife.
- Recent fertility or IVF nursing experience (desirable), or a minimum of three years’ experience working within a nursing team environment.
- Phlebotomy and ultrasound scanning competency (desirable).
- A caring and compassionate approach to supporting patients throughout their fertility journey.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with patients and colleagues.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced clinical environment and across multidisciplinary teams.
- Flexibility to work across our Parramatta and Penrith clinics and adapt to changing priorities.
- A proactive approach to learning,
with a willingness to develop your fertility nursing expertise and embrace new systems and processes.
