Dronehab delivers drone survey, LiDAR, precision agriculture and environmental monitoring work.
The role
We need a qualified surveyor who also holds a RePL to plan, fly and deliver survey jobs end to end. This is a casual role with full-time hours on offer. Work is scheduled job by job, not on a fixed roster: a mix of trips away to remote sites and jobs closer to home, with data processing and job prep in between. You can live anywhere in QLD or NSW.
What you'll do
Plan and fly drone LiDAR and photogrammetry missions on a range of RPA such as Matrice 4E/T, DJI M400 with LiDAR, Thermal & Phase One 100 MP camera payloads
Establish and check survey control with GNSS/RTK
Stockpile and earthworks volume calculations
Cut/fill and progress surveys
DTM, DSM and surface generation
3D terrain and design modelling
Preparing machine-control and guidance files
Uploading and managing designs in Trimble and Topcon systems
Machine localisation, calibration and QA
Weekly/fortnightly volume and progress reporting
Producing updated site imagery,
maps and survey deliverables
Working with site teams to ensure machines are operating from current and accurate designs
Supporting design and planning work where required
What you'll need
A surveying qualification (degree or diploma)
A current CASA RePL (multi-rotor)
Proven survey experience, including control and data processing
Willingness to travel across QLD and NSW for site work
The right to work in Australia
Useful, not essential
Mine site experience and current coal inductions (Standard 11, Coal Board Medical)
LiDAR and photogrammetry processing experience
Manual licence and 4WD experience
What's on offer
$65–$75 per hour plus super, depending on experience
Casual engagement with full time hours on offer
Travel, accommodation and meals paid on away jobs
Current enterprise drone, LiDAR and camera gear
