Duffy Kennedy Constructions (DKC) is seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join our team in Miranda, NSW. This full-time position plays an important role in supporting our ongoing construction projects by preparing accurate technical drawings, coordinating design documentation, and providing timely drafting support to project managers and site teams. The successful candidate will work closely with our design and construction teams, contributing to the efficient delivery of residential, commercial and other building projects.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare and amend detailed civil and structural engineering drawings using AutoCAD, Revit or other relevant drafting software.
- Produce technical drawings for earthworks, drainage systems, foundations, reinforced concrete elements and other construction components.
- Interpret engineering calculations, design specifications and technical sketches to develop accurate construction drawings and documentation.
- Review and update drawings to reflect design changes, construction requirements and actual site conditions.
- Conduct site visits when required to verify construction details, identify discrepancies and assist with drawing revisions.
- Liaise with engineers, estimators, project managers and subcontractors to ensure drawings meet project requirements and relevant Australian Standards.
- Provide technical drafting support to construction teams and assist in resolving drawing-related issues during project execution.
- Maintain accurate drawing records, documentation and version control throughout the project lifecycle.

About you

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Engineering Drafting, Architectural Engineering or a related discipline.




- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in civil or structural engineering drafting, preferably within the building construction industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit or similar drafting software.
- Sound understanding of civil and structural engineering principles, construction methods and technical drawing standards.
- Experience preparing detailed drawings for residential, commercial or multi-storey building projects will be highly regarded.
- Solid attention to detail, problem-solving abilities and organisational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers, project managers and construction personnel.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond efficiently to changing project requirements.
