Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Cook to join our kitchen team full-time. The ideal candidate will have solid commercial cooking experience, a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene, and the ability to produce consistent, quality dishes in a busy kitchen. The role involves preparing and cooking menu items, planning daily specials, managing portions and inventory, and keeping the kitchen clean, safe and well maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook menu items to a consistent standard of quality and presentation Prepare pizza dough, bases and toppings, and operate pizza ovens Plan and prepare daily specials Manage kitchen food safety and hygiene in line with food safety regulations Control portion sizes to maintain consistency and minimise waste Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering and manage kitchen inventory Receive, check and correctly store food deliveries Clean and maintain kitchen equipment,



utensils and work areas Follow workplace health and safety procedures Work effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff during dine-in, pick-up and delivery service Maintain good time management during preparation and service periods

Qualifications:

Certificate IV in Kitchen Management, Diploma of Hospitality Management, or an equivalent qualification Minimum 1 year of relevant commercial cooking experience Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen Good communication and teamwork skills Reliable, organised and attentive to detail

About Company New Britannia and Angry Tony's Pizza Co share a venue at 103-107 Cleveland Street, Darlington: a pizza restaurant with a licensed bar, in a historic Victorian-era hotel building. We are open for dine-in seven days a week from 4:30pm, with lunch service on Fridays and Sundays.
