ABOUT US

Apiam Animal Health is one of Australia's leading rural and regional veterinary organisations, supporting animal health across livestock and companion animal sectors.

Behind our clinics is a critical supply chain network that ensures our veterinary teams have the products they need to care for animals across Australia. Our warehouse and logistics teams play a vital role in keeping that network moving safely, efficiently and reliably.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We're looking for an experienced Warehouse & Logistics Team Leader to take ownership of our Toowoomba operation and lead a small, dedicated team.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll lead from the front. While you'll be responsible for site performance, safety and team leadership, you'll also be actively involved in the day-to-day operation, working alongside the team with picking, packing, dispatch, receipting and general warehouse activities.

You’ll be the type of leader who enjoys rolling up your sleeves, supporting the team during busy periods and setting the standard through your actions. Success in this role comes from balancing operational leadership with hands-on involvement and a commitment to continuous improvement.

You’ll work closely with the Manager, Warehousing & Logistics and be given the autonomy to manage the site, improve processes and support the development of your team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Lead from the front by actively participating in daily warehouse activities including picking, packing, stock receipting and dispatch
- Coordinate warehouse workflows, dispatch activities and team rosters
- Support and mentor warehouse team members, drivers and the Leading Hand

- Drive improvements in inventory accuracy, service levels and operational efficiency
- Ensure products are stored, handled and distributed safely and compliantly
- Champion a strong workplace health and safety culture
- Monitor site performance against key operational measures
- Identify and implement practical process improvements
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Foster a positive, supportive and high-performing team culture

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

- Experience leading teams within warehousing, logistics or supply chain operations
- A practical, hands-on leadership style
- Solid organisational and problem-solving skills
- A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
- The ability to coach, support and develop team members
- Confidence using warehouse management systems and operational reporting
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Formal qualifications in Supply Chain, Logistics or a related discipline will be highly regarded but are not essential.

WHAT WE OFFER

- A stable, long-term opportunity with a growing national organisation
- Genuine autonomy to lead your site, support your team and drive meaningful improvements
- A supportive, down-to-earth culture that values experience, practical thinking and initiative
- Staff discounts across Apiam veterinary clinics and services, plus discounts on Hill's Science Diet products
- The opportunity to make a real impact by supporting veterinarians, clinics and animal health communities across Australia

WHY JOIN APIAM?

At Apiam, you'll enjoy the support of a national organisation while being part of a close-knitted team that values trust, teamwork and practical problem solving.
