About the Opportunity

We are exclusively partnering with a high-growth, data centre and AI cloud provider to add a Senior Deployment Engineer to its infrastructure deployment team.

Our client owns and operates purpose-built data centres designed for power-dense GPU computing, with a strong focus on renewable energy. As they rapidly expand their AI cloud footprint, they are deploying large-scale GPU clusters and the high-performance networking needed to support demanding AI training and inference workloads.

This role sits within the team responsible for bringing new data centre capacity online, from construction and energisation through to fully validated, production-ready environments.

The Role

As Senior Deployment Engineer, you will design, deploy, automate and validate the network infrastructure that underpins AI and HPC environments at scale.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and deploy high-performance data centre networks across GPU compute, storage, front-end and out-of-band management environments
- Design and implement CLOS / leaf-spine fabrics using ECMP, VXLAN and BGP EVPN
- Lead network workstreams through data centre construction, energisation, commissioning and go-live
- Collaborate with construction, electrical, mechanical and operations teams on rack elevations, structured cabling, fibre plans and deployment schedules
- Develop standardised network designs, bills of materials, cabling matrices and deployment runbooks for repeatable multi-site rollouts
- Build automation for zero-touch provisioning, configuration generation and deployment validation
- Support lossless fabrics (RDMA, RoCEv2 and/or InfiniBand),



including PFC, ECN and QoS tuning
- Own network acceptance testing, burn-in and GPU cluster bring-up
- Coordinate with OEMs, systems integrators and in office contractors during rack-and-stack and installation
- Troubleshoot complex deployment issues and hand over fully validated, documented environments to operations

About You

- Proven experience deploying large-scale data centre, hyperscale, cloud or HPC networks
- Deep expertise in Layer 2/3 networking, including VLANs, VXLAN, BGP EVPN, OSPF and IS-IS
- Strong understanding of CLOS, ECMP and modern data centre fabric architecture
- Hands-on experience with vendors such as Arista, Cisco, Juniper, Dell or NVIDIA (Spectrum-X / Quantum)
- Experience with network operating systems such as EOS, NX-OS, Junos, Cumulus Linux or SONiC
- Solid firewall and network security experience
- Automation experience with Python, Ansible, Terraform and Git-based workflows (CI/CD exposure is a plus)
- Practical knowledge of physical-layer deployment, including optics, fibre, DACs/AOCs and cable validation
- Experience in AI/HPC, RDMA, RoCEv2 or InfiniBand environments is highly desirable
- Comfortable working on live build sites with tight timelines and multiple stakeholders
