WA Industrial Cylinder Engineers is a privately owned industry leader specialising in the manufacture, overhaul, and repair of hydraulic cylinders for heavy mining mobile equipment. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a reliable and motivated Despatch / Paint / Trades Assistant / Truck Driver – All-Rounder to join our team at our modern, well-equipped Perth workshop.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual who enjoys variety in their work and is looking for long-term career stability within a busy manufacturing environment. No two days are the same, with responsibilities spanning despatch, painting, workshop support, logistics, and local deliveries.

Shift Options

This position will be offered on either:

- Permanent Night Shift, Monday to Friday; or
- Rotating Shift – 2 weeks Day Shift / 2 weeks Night Shift

About You You are a reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated team player who takes pride in completing work to a high standard. You enjoy a wide-ranging role and are willing to assist across different areas of the workshop as required.

You will have

- Current Australian C Class Driver's Licence (minimum)
- HR Licence – highly desirable or willingness to obtain
- Forklift Licence (LF) – highly desirable or willingness to obtain
- Previous experience in despatch, painting, trades assistance, logistics, truck driving, or a similar role
- Previous truck driving and local delivery experience – desirable
- Good mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn
- Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes – desirable
- Basic computer skills
- Positive organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to work either permanent night shift or a rotating day/night shift roster

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare completed hydraulic cylinders and components for despatch




- Complete painting and touch-up work on hydraulic cylinders and components
- Fit protective covers and packaging to completed components
- Complete local customer deliveries and collections
- Load and unload trucks safely using forklifts and overhead cranes
- Assist with despatch, including checking, preparing, securing, and loading customer orders
- Assist tradespeople with hydraulic cylinder disassembly, assembly, and other workshop activities
- Assist with machine shop duties where required
- Operate forklifts and other workshop equipment as authorised
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the workshop, despatch area, and yard
- Ensure components are correctly identified, protected, and prepared for customer delivery
- Assist with general workshop and yard duties as required
- Support production and logistics teams to ensure customer delivery deadlines are achieved
- Report damaged, missing, or incorrect components to the appropriate supervisor
- Comply with all workplace health and safety procedures and company policies
- Participate in toolbox meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
