We are looking for an experienced and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team in Orange, NSW. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified technician who enjoys working on a wide range of underground and surface mining equipment, support equipment and heavy-duty machinery. You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing equipment both in the workshop and at customer sites. The role will involve working on mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and diesel systems across a variety of mining equipment.

Key responsibilities

- Service, maintain, fault-find and repair equipment both in the workshop and at customer sites
- Work on mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and diesel systems across mining equipment
- Travel to customer sites and work underground and on surface operations

About you

- Trade qualification as a Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic, Automotive Mechanic, Plant Mechanic, Mobile Plant Technician or similar
- Experience working on mining, heavy mobile or industrial equipment is highly desirable
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems
- The ability to read and understand hydraulic, electrical and mechanical drawings
- A strong commitment to safety and quality




- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
