Armidale Day Surgery is a brand new, state-of-the-art facility providing high-quality surgical care in a supportive and innovative environment. We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our team on a casual basis.

About the Role:

As a Registered Nurse in Theatre & Recovery, you will be responsible for the post-operative care of patients, monitoring their recovery from anaesthesia, managing pain, other post-operative needs and ensuring a smooth transition to discharge. You will work as part of a collaborative and professional clinical team, committed to patient safety and high standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide post-operative nursing care in accordance with NSW Health standards and guidelines
- Monitor and assess patients during their recovery from anaesthesia
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team

Essential Criteria:

- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)




- Demonstrated recent experience in recovery or acute surgical nursing
- Up-to-date immunisation status in line with NSW Health policies, including COVID-19 and influenza
- Sound clinical judgement and ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and continuous quality improvement

Desirable:

- Postgraduate qualifications in Perioperative Nursing or relevant specialty
- Previous experience in day surgery or private hospital setting
