RN - Ingham Hospital - Caseload Midwifery

Ingham Hospital is seeking a Registered Midwife to join its Midwifery Group Practice on a contract basis, starting next week through to 18 January 2027. Based in Ingham, Queensland, this role offers the prospect to deliver continuity of midwifery care throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal period in a rural and regional maternity service. Accommodation is provided, and the hospital is positioned approximately one hour from a tertiary facility, giving you access to both community-focused practice and specialist support when needed.

- Deliver continuity of care across the full maternity journey - pregnancy, birth, and postnatal support

Preferred Requirements





- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife in Australia
- Demonstrated experience in continuity of midwifery care models or caseload midwifery
- Strong clinical skills in antenatal assessment, labour support, and postnatal care
- Ability to work collaboratively within a small midwifery team and liaise with tertiary services
- Commitment to woman-centred care and building therapeutic relationships with clients

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent qualification recognised by AHPRA
- Current CPR and emergency management certification
- Experience working in rural or regional maternity services is advantageous
