About the role

Club Tarneit is seeking a dedicated and experienced Duty Manager to join our management team on a full-time basis. Based at our Club in Tarneit, VIC 3029, this role is integral to the smooth day-to-day operations of the entire Club when on shift.

As Duty Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing gaming, sports bar and TAB, and food and beverage operations ensuring compliance with all regulations, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for our members and guests, and delivering exceptional service standards. This position offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the member experience whilst managing a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

- Supervise and manage all Club operations during assigned shifts, ensuring adherence to gaming and other regulations and club policies
- Lead the team on shift, ensuring they stay motivated and focused to deliver exceptional customer service
- Monitor gaming machine performance member activity to identify and address any irregularities or concerns
- Respond promptly to member and staff queries and escalate appropriately
- Ensure compliance with responsible gambling and RSA practices and intervene where necessary to promote safe habits
- Conduct regular inspections of all Club areas, including maintenance and venue cleanliness standards
- Oversee revenue reconciliation and financial procedures in accordance with club protocols
- Train, support and supervise Club staff, providing guidance on policies, procedures and best practice
- Manage incident reporting, conflict resolution and member complaints with professionalism and discretion




- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless venue operations and member satisfaction
- Complete end of shift briefings, incidents and actions taken during shifts

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working in a gaming or hospitality management role within a club, pub or licensed club environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of gaming machine operations, gaming regulations and responsible gambling legislation applicable in Victoria
- Strong understanding of club compliance requirements, including gaming machine tracking systems and financial procedures
- Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and support a diverse team
- Outstanding customer service capabilities with a focus on member satisfaction and retention
- Proven ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations whilst maintaining professional standards
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with staff, members and external stakeholders
- A current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol)
- A valid Victorian Gaming Licence




- Computer literacy with proficiency in point-of-sale systems and other club management software
