- Ensure guest requests and operational issues are followed through promptly
- Assist with staff training, performance, shift coordination and operational handovers
- Maintain compliance with workplace health and safety procedures, relevant licensing requirements and hotel policies
- Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities to improve service delivery and efficiency
- Communicate effectively with senior management regarding guest feedback, incidents and operational matters
- Take ownership of hotel operations during rostered shifts, escalating matters appropriately when required
About You:
- Previous experience as a Hotel Duty Manager, Assistant Hotel Manager, Front Office Supervisor or similar operational leadership role is highly regarded
- Experience in hotel accommodation and front office operations, ideally within a property offering multiple food and beverage and event facilities
- A strong understanding of the guest journey,
from arrival and check-in through to departure
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and guest service skills
- Confidence handling guest complaints, resolving issues and making sound operational decisions
- The ability to coordinate multiple departments and competing priorities
- A hands-on leadership style, with the ability to motivate, support and develop team members
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Flexibility to work across a seven-day roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Australian working rights (sponsorship not available for this role)
Advantages:
- Full time opportunity at an established hotel and hospitality destination
