Position Details

Full-time temporary position commencing 2027. The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with classroom teachers. The staff of St Peter's Primary School, collaborating with an involved and connected parent community, support the students' learning in all aspects of the curriculum.

This position will suit a suitably qualified, vibrant and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about contributing to the engaging and agile learning environment at St Peter’s Primary School.

Selection Criteria

- Flexibility, resourcefulness, creativity and a passion for education.
- Be willing to work constructively and positively with teacher direction.
- Expertise, experience and training appropriate to the needs of the children requiring support, including those with, for example, ASD, PDA, ADHD, SLD.
- Possess good IT skills,



have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality.
- Ability to work professionally, maintaining each child's feeling of safety and security in the classroom.
- Current First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain.

Qualifications Required

- Certificate IV Education Assistant Special Needs
- Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School, or progress towards Accreditation.

Applicants must be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education. Applicants must submit curriculum vitae, addressed to the Principal, including names and contact numbers of three referees. A current National Police Clearance/100 Point Identification Check must also be included. The appropriate Criminal History Record Check form is available from the Department of Education and Training website (www.det.wa.edu.au).

On appointment, successful applicants will require a Working with Children Check.
