About the role:

Based at our residential tower on St Kilda Rd, you will undertake full Building Caretaker duties for this property comprising 196 apartments, ensuring a high level of service is delivered and residents are living in a safe and clean environment. This is a role with hands-on responsibilities and working with a supportive Owners Corporation Committee.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Being accessible to residents (first point of contact) and actioning any matters or requests regarding common property
- Working closely with the Owners Corporation Committee and Manager on all common area matters
- Liaising with essential service providers and contractors for repairs and maintenance issues
- Organising quotes for various jobs for the committee's consideration
- Management of contractors on site ensuring all OHS procedures are followed at all times
- Perform routine building maintenance checks and ensure compliance of essential services and common property assets
- Perform daily security checks and surveillance




- Ensure general cleanliness of common areas by undertaking cleaning duties
- Maintain building records, asset registers, service logs, key and access credentials
- Prepare weekly building reports for the committee covering maintenance, compliance, incidents, contractor performances and upcoming works

To be successful you will ideally have:

- Demonstrated experience in a similar role with a technical/trade background
- Professionally presented with a solid commitment to customer service
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work unsupervised
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and computer literacy

This is a hands-on role requiring strong time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities. In return, you will be rewarded with a salary commensurate with your experience.
