Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service is seeking an experienced and motivated Principal Medical Education Officer to join our team supporting medical education and training across Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals.

Your opportunity

- As a key member of the Medical Education Team, the Principal Medical Education Officer (PMEO) provides educational expertise and leadership in the planning and delivery of a range of medical education and support programs for prevocational medical graduates, while ensuring ongoing training accreditation requirements are met.
- As WBA Manager, the PMEO is responsible for managing the procedural and operational aspects of the Hervey Bay Hospital AMC WBA program, while ensuring ongoing Australian Medical Council accreditation requirements are met.

Qualifications and other requirements

- Possession of a relevant bachelor’s degree in education / adult education, or a higher qualification in health education, or a related discipline is mandatory. Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.

Our offer

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $88,356 p.a., comprising salary between $72,157 - $77,440 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (PO5) (Permanent Part Time, 38 hrs p.f.)
