Hire Controller / Operations – QLD

Uphire is a fast paced, high achieving business and we are seeking a customer service driven Hire Controller to join our team in Pinkenba - Queensland.

Uphire specialises in the hire of Elevating Work Platforms, Materials Handling and Traffic Management Equipment, operating in Sydney and Brisbane.

As the face and voice of our business, our operations team works closely together to manage the day to day servicing of our extensive customer base. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to become part of the dynamic hire industry and the Uphire family.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Providing outstanding customer service – answering calls,



emails and responding to customer requirements

- Managing daily hire control and operational procedures

- Processing hire contracts and managing equipment availability using hire software Baseplan

- Allocating equipment and coordinating deliveries and collections

- Assisting with stocktake and maintaining accurate yard and fleet records

- Liaising with transport providers regarding truck and driver allocation

- Liaising with the service/workshop team regarding fleet maintenance and repairs

- Managing hire paperwork, extensions, off-hires and damages

- Being an integral part of the operational performance of the business

The successful candidate will have:

- Excellent customer service and communication skills

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Experience with computer systems, including hire industry software."

- The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

- Experience in a similar hire, operations, logistics or administration role (highly regarded)

- Baseplan experience (highly regarded but not essential)
