Graduate Occupational Hygienist / Scientific Consultant

VA Sciences, one of Australia’s leading STEM consultancies, is seeking a motivated scientific consultant/graduate occupational hygienist to support the identification, design and delivery of support strategies aimed at identifying contamination from indoor environments.

This role will challenge you to use your critical thinking and problem-solving skills daily, collaborate with clients and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Responsibilities and Duties:

Engage face-to-face with government representatives, insurance professionals, and commercial and residential clients.

Assist in conducting comprehensive assessments in both the built and natural environments.

Adhere strictly to relevant occupational hygiene standards and best practices.

Prepare and manage applicable sampling media and equipment,



ensuring compliance to the internal quality management system.

Collect samples and data using a variety of methods and techniques.

Help interpret analytical results and data collected or provided.

Assist in preparing detailed reports with evidence-based recommendations.

Qualifications and experience:

Recent tertiary qualification in a S.T.E.M related field

Ability to interpret information and data, and effectively communicate findings to stakeholders through technical report writing.

Some experience (including academic experience e.g. through internships or coursework) in conducting occupational hygiene or science-based assessments across various disciplines.

Strong technical writing and systems documentation skills with excellent attention to detail.

Eligibility for membership in an internationally industry recognised association (i.e. Australian Institute of Occupational Hygiene) is highly desirable
