About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Batcher to join our Tandy Concrete team in Rockhampton on a full-time basis

Reporting to the Area Manager , you will be responsible for the efficient batching and loading of concrete, day-to-day operation of the batch plant and supporting the smooth operation of the site. You will work closely with drivers, customers and the plant team to ensure concrete is batched accurately, safely and efficiently.

Previous concrete batching experience is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right applicant who demonstrates the right attitude, commitment and transferable skills. Full training will be provided to develop the skills and knowledge required for the role.

You may also be required to operate a front-end loader when required. A front-end loader ticket or experience is preferred, however, training can be provided for the right applicant.

This is a full-time role

Your Day Will Involve

- Accurately batching concrete orders to specified mix designs
- Operating the batching system and ensuring the correct concrete mix is produced
- Coordinating truck allocation and dispatch to ensure efficient deliveries
- Undertaking day-to-day administration associated with the concrete batch plant
- Monitoring raw material levels and assisting with stock control
- Conducting quality checks and ensuring product compliance
- Operating plant and mobile equipment safely and efficiently




- Operating a front-end loader when required
- Maintaining general yard and plant housekeeping
- Assisting with basic plant maintenance and keeping the site clean, safe and organised
- Completing production, delivery and other required documentation
- Liaising with drivers, customers and internal teams to ensure a high level of service

What You'll Bring

- Previous experience in concrete batching and/or the concrete industry is preferred
- Applicants from construction, manufacturing, transport, logistics or other plant-based environments are encouraged to apply
- Strong commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental standards
- Strong customer service focus and professional approach
- Sound computer skills and the ability to learn batching software
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good attention to detail and commitment to producing a quality product
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment
- Front-end loader experience or a current ticket is preferred; however, training can be provided
