MR Driver | Day Shift $43.75/hr + Super | Temp to Perm Role

About the client:

Our client is an established manufacturer based in Bayswater Vic. We are currently seeking a reliable and safety-focused MR Driver to join their logistics team.

This is a hands-on delivery role involving the safe and efficient transportation of products to customers across various locations. The successful candidate will also assist with loading and unloading and may be required to collect recyclable polystyrene materials from customers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Safely operate an MR truck to complete scheduled customer deliveries
- Load and unload products safely and efficiently
- Ensure loads are correctly positioned and secured before departure
- Check delivery dockets, paperwork and customer instructions
- Complete daily driver run sheets and required documentation
- Conduct daily vehicle pre-start and safety checks
- Report any vehicle defects, damage or safety concerns promptly
- Plan safe and efficient delivery routes
- Check weather and road conditions before and during travel
- Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility and relevant transport legislation
- Collect required customer signatures, names, photos and delivery documentation
- Provide professional and friendly customer service at delivery locations
- Collect polystyrene offcuts or recyclable materials from customers as required
- Couple and uncouple trailers when required
- Maintain a clean and tidy truck and cabin
- Ensure all paperwork and run sheets are completed and submitted at the end of each shift
- Communicate with the Logistics Manager regarding delivery issues, delays, breakdowns or unsafe conditions




- Assist with additional logistics or yard duties when required

About the Role:

- MR Driver / Delivery Driver position
- Monday to Friday | Day Shift | 7AM - 3PM - $43.75/hr + Super
- Hands-on role involving driving, loading and unloading
- Local and surrounding-area deliveries
- Regular customer interaction
- Working outdoors and in varying weather conditions
- Manual handling of products is required

Is this you?

- Valid MR Driver's Licence and Good driving record
- Previous experience as an MR Driver, Delivery Driver or similar
- Previous experience with loading, unloading and securing freight
- Good understanding of road safety and Chain of Responsibility requirements
- Strong knowledge of safe load restraint practices
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
- Good knowledge of local roads and ability to plan efficient routes
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Able to complete paperwork and delivery documentation accurately
- Able to work independently while maintaining communication with the logistics team
- Valuable understanding of fatigue management and defensive driving
- Full Australian working rights
