Nacara Bar & Cellar is a neighbourhood wine and cocktail bar in Balmain, open Wednesday to Sunday from 4pm. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for great hospitality people to join our small team across Bar, Kitchen and Front of House.

We currently have full-time and part time opportunities available across Bar and Kitchen, as well as casual Front of House hours across Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Candidates with strong all-round hospitality experience who are comfortable working across different areas of the venue will be highly regarded.

Key responsibilities

Bar: Engage with guests while preparing cocktails, pouring wine and providing knowledgeable, friendly service. We’re looking for someone equally comfortable behind the bar and interacting with guests.

Kitchen: Independently manage our small kitchen, including running busy services, weekly prep, stock and inventory management, and contributing creative ideas to our food offering.

Front of House: Deliver excellent customer service and confidently guide guests through our wine offering, including more than 60 wines available by the glass.

About you

Previous hospitality experience is preferred

Reliable, hands-on and comfortable working as part of a small team

A positive attitude and genuine interest in hospitality

Strong customer service and communication skills





Kitchen candidates should be organised, creative and confident working independently under pressure

FOH candidates should have positive wine knowledge and be comfortable making recommendations

All-rounders with experience across multiple areas of hospitality are particularly encouraged to apply

Must have appropriate working rights in Australia. Unfortunately, visa sponsorship is not available for these positions
