About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter & Decorator to join our team on a full-time basis in Newcastle NSW. This is a key position within our operations, where you will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating work across a variety of residential and commercial projects. Your expertise and attention to detail will be essential in maintaining our reputation for excellence and ensuring customer satisfaction on every project.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing surfaces including sanding, cleaning and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Applying paint, varnish and other decorative finishes using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Undertaking interior and exterior painting work on residential and commercial properties
- Installing wallpaper, wall coverings and other decorative materials
- Maintaining a clean and protected work environment, complying with health and safety regulations
- Operating and maintaining painting equipment and tools in good working condition
- Communicating effectively with customers to understand their requirements and ensure satisfaction
- Working collaboratively with team members to complete projects on schedule and to specification




- Conducting quality checks to ensure work meets company standards and customer expectations

What we're looking for

- Formal qualifications or apprenticeship in painting and decorating
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a painter and decorator in residential and/or commercial settings
- Proven expertise in surface preparation, interior and exterior painting techniques
- Knowledge of decorative finishes, wallpapering and specialised coating applications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality workmanship
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate professionally with clients
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transport to travel between job sites
- Current Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain one if required
- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights using appropriate safety equipment
- Health and Safety awareness and commitment to following safe working practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
