About us

JVJ Civil & Asphalt has been laying asphalt across South Australia since 1995 — an ISO certified, DIT pre-qualified contractor running hand and machine crews on civil, commercial and government work across the state.

We are growing fast, and we look after the people who grow with us: steady work, positive gear, a crew that backs each other, and a real path to move up. Working out of our Wingfield depot, we take on everything from car parks and local roads through to DIT projects, so there’s regular overtime on offer for those who want the hours.

The role

We are putting on experienced asphalt labourers for our hand-placed and machine-placed crews. You have solid, all-round asphalt experience and take pride in a clean, tidy job.

What you’ll need

- A current MR (Medium Rigid) truck licence as a minimum.

- Solid asphalt labouring experience, confident on the rake and shovel behind the paver.

- A White Card (Construction Induction).

- The right to work in Australia on a permanent basis.

- Someone a crew can count on – reliable, turns up,

and puts in an honest day.

What we offer

- Pay well above the award, set against your experience and tickets.

- Consistent overtime for those who want the hours, and RDOs to balance it out.

- Well-kept, late-model plant, with new machines arriving as we expand.

- A tight crew that backs each other, where you’re known by name, not treated as a number.

- Room to move up as we grow.

- Steady, year-round work close to home with a business that keeps getting busier.

How to apply

Click Apply and tell us, in a few lines, your asphalt experience and the tickets you hold. We have positions open now and we will move quickly for the right people.

We are also hiring experienced paver and plant operators on a separate listing, so if you run machines, it is worth a look.

JVJ Civil & Asphalt welcomes applications from experienced people of all backgrounds.
