About the role

Westforce Electrical is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team in a permanent full-time position. You'll work across a range of interesting mining, industrial and agricultural projects throughout Western Australia, with approximately 70% of your time spent on FIFO projects and 30% working locally in Perth, including at our Bibra Lake workshop. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects with technical independence and meaningful responsibility.

Key responsibilities

- Installation, maintenance, commissioning and fault finding of industrial pumping and motor control systems
- Configuration, commissioning and troubleshooting of variable speed drives (VSDs) and soft starters
- Installation and fault finding of pressure, flow and level instrumentation, including 4–20 mA control signals
- Wiring, testing and commissioning electrical control panels, distribution systems and motor control circuits
- Diagnosing electrical and control system faults using technical schematics and practical troubleshooting methods
- Installation and commissioning of bore pumps, pump stations and associated electrical infrastructure
- Working alongside the team on PLC, SCADA, telemetry and automation projects
- Supporting workshop panel construction, testing and local project work between FIFO assignments

About you

- Current WA A-Grade Electrical Licence
- Minimum 5 years' post-trade electrical experience, preferably in industrial or mining environments
- Demonstrated experience with three-phase motors, motor control circuits and industrial electrical installations
- Strong practical knowledge of variable speed drives and soft starters,



including commissioning and fault finding
- Experience working with pumping systems and industrial instrumentation
- Ability to independently diagnose electrical and control system faults
- Competency reading and interpreting electrical drawings and control schematics
- Current manual driver's licence
- Strong safety awareness, communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
