Marine Technician – Church Point Marina, Pittwater

Minter Marine is expanding to Pittwater — and we’re looking for an experienced Marine Technician to join our new Church Point Marina team.

Minter Marine is excited to announce the opening of our current marine service operation at Church Point Marina, Pittwater .

With established operations in Rozelle and Point Piper , Minter Marine is a well-regarded marine services business with a strong reputation for quality workmanship, customer service and technical expertise across the Sydney boating industry.

Our new Pittwater operation will provide:

- Inboard engine servicing and repairs
- All-brand outboard servicing and repairs
- Marine diagnostics and maintenance
- Shipwright services
- Boat brokerage and sales

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Marine Technician to join our growing team at Church Point.

This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to work on a diverse range of vessels, from recreational boats and cruisers through to high-performance craft.

The successful candidate will be an important part of establishing and growing our Pittwater operation, with opportunities to take responsibility for projects, work directly with customers and, where appropriate, mentor apprentices and junior technicians.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

- Servicing, maintaining and repairing inboard and outboard engines
- Diagnosing and fault-finding mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
- Working on propulsion, fuel, steering and hydraulic systems
- Carrying out marine servicing and preventative maintenance
- Using advanced diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve faults
- Working on a range of marine brands and vessel types




- Managing workshop and marina-based jobs from diagnosis through to completion
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and customer service
- Providing customers with professional advice regarding servicing, repairs and upgrades
- Supporting and mentoring apprentices and junior technicians

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

- A qualified and experienced Marine Technician
- Strong mechanically and electrically, with good diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experienced working on both inboard and outboard engines
- Experienced with modern marine diagnostic systems and technology
- Yamaha experience is highly regarded, but experience across multiple brands is welcomed
- A qualified Automotive or Motorcycle Technician looking to transition into the marine industry will also be considered
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Well presented with strong communication and customer service skills
- Able to work independently while also contributing to a team
- Passionate about boats, engines and the marine industry
- Committed to quality workmanship and getting the job done right the first time
- Hold a current Australian driver's licence
