Montalto Vineyard is a premium food, wine and hospitality destination on the Mornington Peninsula. We are looking for an experienced Chef or Cook to join our qualified kitchen team.

The Restaurant at Montalto presents an ever-changing set menu showcasing a seasonal celebration of estate‑grown heirloom produce, alongside the very best locally sourced ingredients from across the Mornington Peninsula.

Designed specifically for sharing, curated collections of dishes arrive at the table in a series of courses. Each course highlights the connection between our estate gardens, expertly managed by our Produce Manager, our kitchens and our award‑winning wines.

About the role





You will prepare and deliver high-quality dishes across restaurant, cellar door and events service.

You will:

- Prepare and cook menu items to a consistently high standard
- Contribute to seasonal menu development and planning
- Maintain food quality, presentation and portion‑control standards
- Support smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods
- Help guide junior cooks and kitchen staff
- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen

About you

You will bring:

- At least three years’ relevant commercial cooking experience
- Experience working in a professional hospitality kitchen
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen operations
- A passion for quality food and consistent presentation
- The ability to work calmly and collaboratively during busy services
- Strong communication, organisation and time‑management skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays
